Hormoz Combined Cycle Power Plant with a nominal capcity of 235 MW has been constructed through investment by Ghadir Oxin Power Development Company in line with the objectives of IMIDRO including responding to the increasing power needs and supply of sustainable power for the consumption of industries and development of the necessary infrastructures aimed at growth and development of the industries affiliated to IMIDRO. This power plant is located in Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone and the initial guaranteed power purchase agreement (ECA) has been exchanged with the investor on January 08, 2013. The activities for construction of the power plant by the investor were started after acquisition and delivery of the land in early 2016 and the first unit of the power plant with a nominal capacity of 160 MW was synchronized with the national grid in December 2018.
